July 2015--Oak Cove

At the end of June/beginning of July 2015 we went with Dave's family to a delightful little place in west Michigan for a week of relaxation and fun.  It was nice and quiet and we didn't have to cook!


Duke composed a little song with a verse about each member of the family.  It was not to be forgotten. :)


A family picture is always a good idea.



I'd never played shuffleboard until this trip, but it was pretty fun.  Sam and Thomas were both pretty good at it!





Tetherball! Thomas beat himself every time!  (Sam is commenting that it's hard to play against an adult, but he was still good enough they didn't beat him right away.  So he still enjoyed it a little.)

It's hard to know what to do with a one-year-old's hair.  I'm sure there are many better solutions out there, but Hannah made do with the rhino horn.

We went to an air museum in...Kalamazoo?  Air museums aren't about air, by the way, they are about air vehicles--airplanes and rockets.  We got to go in a flight simulator which was probably the highlight.  I love this picture of Sam.  Sam also says he doesn't really remember taking this picture, or some parts of the museum.
