Our Big Adventure

Last month we went on vacation with Dave's family for 9 days. It was probably the biggest adventure of Sam's little life so far. He really did quite well considering all the changes. Here are too many pictures, but I had a hard time narrowing them down. They are in reverse order. First we went to NY and then D.C. but the pictures start on the last day in D.C. I don't know why, I didn't do that on purpose. Also we didn't get pictures of it but we got to see Wicked in NY which was fun too. There are a lot of other things too that I didn't get pictures of, but this will have to suffice I guess. Thank you Duke and Teresa for bringing us along!

When we took this picture of Sam and Abe, Sam couldn't keep his eyes off of this little girl that was standing nearby. The only reason Sam is even looking at the camera is because the little girl's mom told her to stand behind us so he would look.

Dave in the Capitol building I think.

The famous Albert Einstein statue. Well, maybe it's not that famous, but Dave really likes it. He and Albert have lot in common. From left: Rachel, Jeff, Patti, Dave, Spencer.

Spencer and I at the Korean War Memorial.

On Sunday my amazing cousin Rob and his amazing wife Crystal had us and the entire Edwards clan over for dinner which was soooo nice of them. They served us a delicious meal and even met our request that we have time afterwards to go look at some monuments. Thank you so much! It was fun to see you guys and we owe you!

L to R: Duke, Teresa, Jeff, Patti, Sam, Rachel, Rob, Crystal, Spencer, Dave

Oh, and I'm pretty sure I made eye contact with Harry Reid at church on Sunday. It was obvious he shares the ubiquitous opinion that Sam is the cutest baby ever. Well...we did see Harry Reid. That was the highlight of the trip for Jeff I think.

Now on to NY. Rachel and Teresa at the "Top of the Rock" (i.e. Rockefeller building) with the Empire State Building behind them.

Back in D.C.again. Dave in the Air and Space Museum.
Sam's hat fell over his eyes and he just rode with it like that for a long time before he even seemed to notice. He wasn't asleep either, he just gets really really mellow when he's in outside in the stroller. (Or boating for that matter.)

Back in NY. Don't ask me how they got mixed up. Dave at the top of the rock.
We got to go to the NY temple. It was really cool. It was fairly small, but silent inside. It was within walking distance from our hotel and very close to central park.

Statue of Liberty...obviously.

I don't know if you can tell, but this is a replica of the Statue of Liberty's foot. Sam LOVED it for some reason. He kept running back to it every time we tried to move on to another part of the museum. It's strange what he gets attached to.

Lady Liberty...what a beauty.

Can you find Sam?
